(a) In general
Beginning not less than 180 days after the date of the enactment of the Act, contraceptive supplies of up to 365 days shall be covered for any eligible covered beneficiary to obtain, including in a single fill or refill, at the option of such beneficiary, the total days of supply (not to exceed a 365-day supply) for a contraceptive on the uniform formulary provided through a military treatment facility pharmacy, retail pharmacy described in section 1074g(a)(2)(E)(ii) of title 10, United States Code, or through the national mail-order pharmacy program of the TRICARE Program.
(b) Outreach
Beginning not later than 90 days after the implementation of coverage under subsection (a), the Secretary shall conduct such outreach activities as are necessary to inform health care providers and individuals who are enrolled in the TRICARE Program of such coverage and the requirements to receive such coverage.
(c) Definitions
In this section:
The term covered Armed Force means the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Space Force.
The term eligible covered beneficiary means an eligible covered beneficiary as such term is used in section 1074g of title 10, United States Code, who is—
a member of a covered Armed Force serving on active duty; or
a dependent of a member described in subparagraph (A).
The term TRICARE Program has the meaning given that term in section 1072 of title 10, United States Code.
