1091. Deeming references to the Department of Defense and Secretary of Defense as references to the Department of War and Secretary of War Chapter 1 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section: 103. References to the Secretary of Defense and the Department of Defense Any reference to the Secretary of Defense or Department of Defense in any law, regulation, map, document, record, or other paper of the United States shall be deemed to be a reference to the Secretary of War or Department of War, respectively. .
