(a) In general
The Secretary of Defense shall ensure that, at all military installations located inside the United States—
(1)
not fewer than one open gate always has the capability and procedures to process visitors for access to the military installation, regardless of whether the installation’s primary visitor control center is open; and
(2)
personnel at the military installation responsible for security at all open gates are able to direct visitors to the military installation to the appropriate office on the military installation for visitor processing.
(b) Military installation defined
In this section, the term military installation has the meaning given such term in section 2801 of title 10, United States Code.
