(a) Modification
In the case of the authorization contained in the table in section 2201 of the Military Construction Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 (division B of Public Law 118–31 ; 137 Stat. 714) for construction of a Water Treatment Plant at Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, the Secretary of the Navy may construct 20,000 linear feet of water supply lines, three pump houses (non-occupied), and one 2,300 square foot pump station/multi-purpose building (occupied) in lieu of a water treatment plant at the installation.
(b) Extension
Such authorization shall remain in effect until October 1, 2027, or the date of the enactment of an Act authorizing funds for military construction for fiscal year 2028, whichever is later.
